why go out-of-network for PT?
We’re entering a new phase in healthcare where many individuals are opting to pay directly for health services. This approach often results in a superior overall experience, quicker recovery, and more lasting outcomes, frequently at a lower cost to the patient.
Explore below to see how the 919LocalPT Treatment Model differs from traditional insurance-based care. By understanding these differences, you’ll see how our unique approach can transform your physical therapy experience, empowering you to make the best choice for yourself.
insurance-based clinic:
Average time spent with your physical therapist is 30 minutes (or less) per visit.
Average number of visits per week is 2-3.
Total time with your PT is 60-90 minutes per week with multiple days of driving time required.
You are subject to the fees of the clinic and the negotiated rate from your insurance company.
If you have a high deductible, you are paying high out of pocket prices in the beginning of care no matter what ($150-180/visit).
Even after you meet your deductible, you could still be subject to a copay or co-insurance for each visit.
You are likely to be scheduled with at least 2-3 other patients there at the same time as your appointment.
Your PT will likely be required to keep eyes on and care for multiple patients at once.
You may spend the majority of your session working with a tech or student rather than the licensed Physical Therapist that you have chosen to help you with your plan of care.
Insurance companies will only pay for treatment on 1 body part at a time. If you are seeing a PT for both back pain and develop foot pain, an insurance based clinic can’t treat your foot that day. You’ll be required to schedule a separate appointment for that issue on another day.
919 local pt:
Time spent with your physical therapist is 60 mins per visit. Every minute of each session is spent with your physical therapist who is an established expert in their field.
Average number of visits per week is 1.
Access to your PT via text/email for questions along the way.
Know What You Are Paying Up Front
You know the price per visit prior to your session and can budget moving forward.
You have more autonomy in how you want to spend your money rather than insurance plans dictating what clinics you go to, what PT you see, how many visits per week, or what body part you get treatment for.
Yes! You can use your FSA or HSA card for your treatment.
You can get reimbursed by your insurance company by sending them a superbill that is provided for each visit.
Your total plan of care cost is likely significantly less than in an insurance-based clinic.
More Personalized Attention
Your hour with your PT is 100% dedicated to you which ensures a more personalized experience and program designed to meet your unique needs.
As much time as you need for assessments, patient education, and any further treatment plans necessary to help with your progression.
Ability to contact your PT at anytime via text for questions, updates, etc. We want you to be successful throughout your entire plan of care and beyond, not just while you’re here for your session.
More Freedom to Address Multiple Issues at Once. We can treat any body part on any day without fear that insurance will deny our claims.
You get better faster because we can address all of your needs in an efficient manner.
You get the care that you need, when you need it.
