About rob
Rob Schneider, MS, PT, ATC, SCS is a seasoned sports rehabilitation specialist with 35 years of experience as a physical therapist and certified athletic trainer.
His career began working in a community-based Sports Medicine clinic and High School in Ridgewood New Jersey where he worked with athletes from all sports and then with a professional football team, prior to a move that brought him to the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
At UNC-CH, he worked with elite athletes through the Athletic Department and student health services for 12 years. He then co-founded a private practice serving the Durham/Chapel Hill/Carrboro communities, helping both athletes and residents stay active and healthy.
Renowned for his expertise in shoulder, knee, and sports lower back issues, Rob has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on these topics.
MENTORSHIP
Rob is enthusiastic about advancing the field of physical therapy, believing mentorship is a crucial part of that effort. Throughout his career, he has learned from trailblazers in the field and witnessed firsthand how teaching and support can nurture a new generation of pioneers. These experiences have shaped him into the therapist he is today. For Rob, mentoring is deeply fulfilling and an essential way to give back to the profession that has given him so much.
